About WACA

The Waterlooville Area Community Association (WACA) was established in 1974 as a charity for the benefit of the community. In April 2016, the charity became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) Association, and in September 2023, it became a CIO Foundation. We trade under the acronym WACA CIO.
Charity Number: 1165822

A Board of Trustees is responsible for managing the charity including the community centre in accordance with its governing documents and the law. Staff have the opportunity to make recommendations to the Trustees.

Our Mission

To create a secure space for both learning and leisure, ensuring accessibility and affordability for all. We firmly believe in the integral role of community spirit in the British way of life.

At Waterlooville Community Centre, we are committed to promoting and reinforcing this philosophy, embracing diversity without regard to race, colour or creed.

Our Facilities

The Centre has seven different sized rooms available for hire, on an adhoc basis or for regular bookings.

For enquiries and bookings: the reception is staffed from 09:00 until 15:00 from Monday to Friday. A caretaker is on site outside of these hours
.

Car Parking Facilities

WACA Car Park

The yellow bays, behind and to the rear of the Centre are free to use for our users.

The white bays in the main car park are for ASDA customers and have a 2 hour limit on parking time.

If you have too much fun at one of your parties, we don’t mind if you leave your vehicle parked over night (at your own risk of course…), as long as you come back to collect it the next morning.

There are 40 WACA bays including 3 disabled spaces. Talk to Reception or a Caretaker if more spaces are needed.

CCTV in the building

For your safety and security, please be aware that there are CCTV recording cameras throughout the Centre.

There are three disabled parking spaces situated to the (south) side of the building. Adjacent to the reception area are our accessible toilets and a baby changing facility.

All of our rooms are wheelchair accessible, but please be careful, and we are sure you are, of not scuffing the door frames.

Licensed Bar

We operate a fully licensed bar with experienced staff for private events and groups using the centre.

Under no circumstances must alcohol be brought onto the premises.

Free WiFi is available for all Centre users.

Three WiFi points are situated in the building for strong connections.

If you need to connect your device to our WIFI, ask at reception or a caretaker for the most appropriate WiFi passkey.
