Newlands Community Hall is situated in Marrelsmoor Avenue in Waterlooville, pop PO7 3BX into your sat nav and it will take you right there!
The hall is well equipped with 62 chairs, 7 x 3’ tables and 8 x 6’ tables, which are stored to the rear of the hall. The floor area measures 10.3 metres by 9 metres and has a ceiling height of 2.1 metres – perfectly adequate for most parties but cannot accommodate a bouncy castle due to the ceiling height. Bouncy castles are also not permitted in outside areas due to liability insurance responsibilities
Off the main hall is a small but beautifully formed kitchen area complete with fridge, microwave, and tea urn for your use but please leave this area clean and tidy after use. Situated across from the kitchen area are the toilets including a disabled toilet.
Ample free parking is available for you and your guests.
Newlands Hall is an ideal venue for children’s parties, meetings as well as organised leisure and sporting activities but unfortunately the hall is not licensed for consumption of alcohol. To keep the hall looking its best and for the enjoyment of all, please do not stick posters or decorations to the walls unless you use white tack. All other adhesives will remove the paint and therefore will be classed as damage and the bond will be retained to cover the repairs.
Due to Newlands being an unmanned venue, as the hirer you are responsible for collecting and returning the key to Waterlooville Community Centre (WACA) as well as setting up your own furniture and putting it away after your event. Unfortunately, there is no rubbish disposal facilities at Newlands so all rubbish and, in particular food waste, has to be taken away with you.
The price to hire the hall for children’s parties is £75:00 for a 3-hour period, payable in cash or by BACS. Any additional hour is charge at £15 or £3.75 for each additional 15 minutes slot. To secure a particular date and time, we asked for a completed booking form and a deposit of 10%. A £50.00 cash refundable security bond is also payable at the time of booking, which is refunded to you after the event providing there are no damages or any exceptional cleaning required. Any balance outstanding must be paid one calendar month prior to the party or event date.
To hire Newlands for recreational classes or events other than parties, the hire rate is £15 per hour bookable in quarter of an hour slots.

The Centre is open 7 days a week from 9am and up until midnight depending on what events are taking place.
The Reception Desk is manned on Monday to Friday from 9am to 2pm. Outside of these times our duty custodians will help you with any enquiries you may have.
The Centre has over 40 free parking bays and is easily accessed from the A3.
